About Vonderlehr Tire Pros and Our Auto Care
1921 - John “Johnny” Vonderlehr saw the future in automobiles and opened a gas and service station on Chamberlayne Avenue at Lombardy Street.
1950's - John “Jack” Vonderlehr, Jr. joined the business after earning a degree at Mount St. Mary’s College and serving in the United States Marine Corps. A 1947 graduate of Benedictine High School, Jack navigated his key role in the business alongside raising a family and maintaining his passion for baseball umpiring.
1980's - John Vonderlehr, III joined the business fulltime after earning a degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. John’s leadership and vision led to Vonderlehr Tire Company’s focus on new passenger and light truck tires, alignment services, and brakes. John was also a proud BHS Cadet, class of 1973.
